FRANK Sinatra, Dean Martin and the rest of the notorious Rat Pack would not have felt out of place at Northwood House last Friday.
The landmark Cowes building was turned into a Las Vegas-style entertainment palace from the 1950s — complete with a big band and casino to raise funds for national charity The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.
The swing night was the brainchild of Shelley Peach, 34, of Godshill, who suffered an ectopic pregnancy and wanted to raise awareness about the condition, which can be life threatening if not treated.
She said: "When it happened to me, I had heard of it but didn’t know what the symptoms were and didn’t really know what was going on. Afterwards, when I heard about the trust, I wanted to raise awareness for women like me."
The charity night raised around £250.
