ISLANDERS gathered for the annual Knobs and Knockers Ball at Northwood House on Saturday.

The event was in aid of testicular and prostate cancer charities Everyman and the Applegate Breast Cancer Unit at St Mary’s Hospital.

Music was provided by Luke Steen and Jimmy’s Big Fish, while comedian Richard Quigley hosted an auction.

A raffle was also held, with prizes donated by Island businesses and the night is believed to have raised about £4,000.

"We would like to thank everyone who gave their time and donations and to those who attended," said co-organiser Mary Hodder.

Following the success of the event there are plans to hold a masked baroque ball next year.
