Road rage suspect arrested

A 41-YEAR-OLD Island man was arrested following a road rage incident on the Isle of Wight.

The police are seeking witnesses to the incident on Brading Road, Ryde at around 8.45am on Monday (24).

A 31-year-old man from the Island had attempted to drive onto the Tesco roundabout when he claimed another car pulled up in front of him, preventing him from moving forward.

The suspect is accused of getting out of his vehicle and shouted abuse and acted aggressively before he attempted to damage the victim’s car.

An Island man was arrested and later released on police bail, pending further inquiries, until October 11.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident are asked to contact PC Laura Crew at Ryde Police Station by phoning 101.
