If all things go to plan in the European Cup Winners' Cup then Chelsea will play the final at Aston Villa's ground on May 19, 1999.

After a shaky first round match against Helsingborgs which the Blues sneaked through 1-0 on aggregate, you can now buy tickets for the 2nd round home leg against Copenhagen in two weeks time.

While the first team have been taking things easy, well those not involved in the upcoming international matches, the reserves beat Spurs 1-0 on Monday night at Kingstonian with a goal from midfielder Jody Morris.

Attention really focuses on the events off the pitch with the west stand saga taking centre stage. This Tuesday at Fulham Town Hall, there is a planning inquiry into the continued development of Chelsea Village.

The club is keen that there is some positive support at the town hall and it is looking for your help.

Get down around 9.15 in the morning and show your vocal and law abiding support to the worthy cause - if that's what you think it is. There is expected to be lots of TV there.

You won't be allowed to ask questions but just a show of unity is what chairman Ken Bates would love to see.

If you are able to give your support in person, meet in the Shed Bar at 9.00am

Poor old Graeme Le Saux has been in for some criticism from the player's union boss Gordon Taylor, who seems intent on blaming the much hyped tunnel brawl with Paul Ince on the Chelsea man.

Yet not a word of criticism for Ince who not only got sent off for England, but hurled abusive gestures at his own bench when dismissed against Sweden in a vital European Championship qualifyer.
