Sailings hit by high winds

WIGHTLINK has cancelled several sailings due to high winds in the Solent.

A spokesmam said: "Sorry, but due to strong winds the 1:20pm (Lymington to Yarmouth) and 1:05pm (Yarmouth to Lymington) sailings have been cancelled.

"There are delays of up to 60 minutes expected on the route but we’re working hard to minimise disruption. We ask that all customers continue check in 30 minutes before departure."

*It later cancelled the 4.20pm from Lymington and the 5.20pm from Yarmouth.
