The Bravehearts soccer stars are February's Guardian Sports Challenge Trophy champs.

Known as the "Barnsley" of the West Sutton Little League, the Under 10s have managed just one win and a draw all season.

Despite this the young battlers have certainly lived up to their name. They have never let their heads drop and their determination to keep going has earned them a place in the Little League's Cup final later this month. Now the Bravehearts have something else to celebrate - an August date in the grand finals of our monthly competition!

Run in conjunction with North Cheam's Challenge Trophies, our competition was launched last year and seeks to recognise the sporting achievements of sportsmen, women and teams in Sutton, Epsom, Banstead and Leatherhead.

The full team is: Tony Bird, 10, Westbourne Primary, Jimmy Oliver, 9, Milton Mount School, Ben Conibear, 10, Robin Hood Junior, Christopher Collins, 9, Homefield School, Huw Tapping, 10, Cheam Common Junior, Sam Sanger, 9, St Dunstan's, Joe Burns, 9, St Cecilia's, Sean James, 9, St Dunstan's, Michael Mandryk, 10, St Clement's, Daniel Spear, 9, Priory C of E, Joe O'Brien, 9, St Cecilia's, and nine-year-old brothers Alan, Graeme, and Ian Torry, Cheam Common Junior.
