A support group for people who have lost their wife or husband tragically young is keen to attract new members to its Twickenham branch.

The WAY Foundation, which has just secured charitable status, helps men and women under the age of 50 whose partners have died.

Some may have to cope with the grief of their children, as well as the practical everyday problems of being a single parent.

The aim is to provide a social life as well as a social network.

Twickenham branch members meet once a month for a social outing but friendships forged in the group mean that some people meet up more often.

More information is available from the national headquarters on 01222 711209 or write to The WAY Foundation, PO Box 74, Penarth, CF64 3YX enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.
