Bovingdon Under 14s 1 Evergreen Yth 1

Green Division, Warners End.

Evergreen took their first point of the season by earning a well deserved draw against Bovingdon.

The home side took the lead after just four minutes, but Evergreen battled back putting Bovingdon under increasing pressure. Eventually the break came when Rikki Mailing cleverly chipped over the defence to set up Simon Walsh for a well taken equaliser.

Both teams battled hard for the upper hand in the second half. With five minutes remaining, Chris Kinley produced a superb save to keep Evergreen in the game.

Minutes later, Green's Ashley Lawrence found himself one on one with the 'keeper, but the Bovingdon player held his ground and pulled off the save of the match. From the resulting corner the Bovingdon goal came under siege but the final whistle came with the points and the honours shared.
