A BRAZEN thief attempted to steal more than £800-worth of jumpers from Marks and Spencers in Barnet Road, London Colney, on Wednesday, February 20.
A white man in his late 30's put numerous items into an empty shopping trolley before wheeling it out, making no attempt to pay for the goods.
A security guard shouted at the well-dressed man, described as 6ft tall and of medium build, when he returned two minutes later and attempted the same ploy.
The man ran into the car park where he was picked up by a security van at 9.10am.
