Search for missing man

POLICE are searching for a missing man in Northwood.

James Pritchett, 22, was last seen in Wyatts Lane in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

A police helicopter has been assisting the search.

An Isle of Wight police spokesman said: "Due to his demeanour when he was last seen there is significant concern for his welfare."

James was described as white, slim build, approximately 6ft 4ins tall, short dark brown hair and last seen wearing blue denim jeans and a long sleeved checked shirt

Inspector Andy Treagus said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have seen James Pritchett or knows of his whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.

"Any member of the public who believes they may have seen James or have information as to his whereabouts should contact police immediately."

Mr Pritchett was found safe on the the Island, according to police on Friday, July 27.
