ONE of the Island’s biggest talent shows is set to take place this summer, with a grand prize of £1,000.
The Island’s Got Talent competition is open to non-professional performers aged 13 or over.
There is only one rule, no live animals.
All those taking part will participate in a two-day performance boot camp ahead of the competition proper and grand final, which will be held at Medina Theatre on August 21.
Island-born rocker Helena Mace will appear at the final as a judge and guest performer.
"I am honoured to be a part of Island’s Got Talent.
"The IW is my home and I am looking forward to seeing what talent the Island has to offer and helping someone who wants the opportunity to follow their dream," she said.
Profits from the event, sponsored by IW Radio, will be donated to John’s Club, an Island charity supporting young people with disabilities.
The deadline for registering to take part in Island’s Got Talent is May 9.
Organisers are also seeking volunteers to help run the competition.
