RUMOURS a travellers’ site is being planned for Seaview have been quashed by the Isle of Wight Council.
Concerns were raised at a recent Nettlestone and Seaview Parish Council meeting. Members of the council said they had heard rumours an area of land, off Eddington Road, Seaview, had been earmarked for travellers.
Stuart Love, strategic director for economy and the environment, said: "I can confirm the site west side of Eddington Road, between West Priory Cottages and footpath R78, is not being considered by the council as a potential traveller site."
