THE Isle of Wight Council’s short breaks service is now taking online bookings for its specialist holiday facilities.

The service supports children and young people with disabilities to enable them to join in with safe, fun and interesting activities.

The service operates both a lodge and a caravan at Lower Hyde Holiday Park, Nodes Point Holiday Park and a beach hut at Small Hope Beach, Shanklin. All of them can be accessed by young people with disabilities or additional needs.

Both the lodge and the caravan contain specially adapted equipment, including an electric hoist, a decking area, entertainment facilities and play equipment.

Anyone booking a stay can also use the holiday park’s entertainment facilities.

The beach hut at Small Hope has a 'Landeez’ wheelchair, which can be used on sand, allowing families to spend time together on the beach.

Details of each facility and how to book is available at
