Shanise in frame for model future

Shanise Morgan

COULD this be the face of the Isle of Wight’s answer to Naomi Campbell?

Shanise Morgan, 21, has entered a competition for Africa Fashion Week in London which could result in her becoming a top model.

Shanise, of York Avenue, East Cowes, is hoping her Jamaican, white British and Italian heritage will land her a modelling role.

And she would like Island residents to vote for her in the contest so she can stand a chance of winning.

Shanise, who works at Spear Recruitment, Ryde, moved to the Island with her mother from Surrey two years ago.

She has already had a taste of fame by appearing as a zombie in the quirky comedy horror, Cockneys v Zombies.

She said she had been overwhelmed by the kindness and support of Island residents since she arrived.

She said: "It was my mum’s idea to move here as she has family over here. She has always wanted to live on the Island. Everyone over here has been so supportive since we moved and it would be great to say a girl from the Island has won a top modelling competition."

I am glad that she and her family are enjoying life on the island. She might be our newest claim to fame. Good luck Shanise.
