GREAT prizes are on offer for this year's winter short story and poetry competition, organised by the Wight Fair Writers' Circle.
The 18 prizes include two adult Bestival camping tickets for 2014. One winning entry will be published in the County Press; all three winners will be published online and interviewed by Isle of Wight Radio.
The theme of this year's competition is It's Snow Time!
Under-18s should write up to 750 words and entry costs £2. Cost for adults is £4 per entry and the word count should be between 1,500 and 2,000.
All proceeds will go to Newport Minster.
Closing date for entries is November 18 and the winners will be announced on December 18 at a celebratory reception in Newport Minster, to which all are welcome.
Entry forms and rules are available by e-mail from firstname.lastname@example.org

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would IOW residents want camping tickets for the Bestival?
