A MAN has been charged after an incident involving a shotgun at a Ventnor hotel.

Police were called to the Burlington Hotel at 6.15pm on Wednesday, February 22.

Timothy Clark, 50, of Bellevue Road, Ventnor, has been charged on suspicion of affray, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.

* He was remanded in custody by Isle of Wight magistrates this afternoon (Friday) and is due to appear at Crown Court on March 20.

No one was injured during the incident.
