A SINKHOLE has appeared in Yarmouth High Street today (Friday) following the collapse of a sewer with the High Street being closed between South Street and the town square.
An Island Roads spokesman said: "The street was closed following an inspection by our engineers and Southern Water.
"The matter is now in hand with Southern Water to address the problem."
The sinkhole is next to the former Yarmouth Police Station which is currently in the process of being demolished for housing.
