BUCKS: Unicef hosted a national non-uniform day on Friday,

Pupils all over Bucks joined more than 4,000 across the country to raise money for the United Nations Children's Fund.

Pupils contributed small change to wear their home clothes for a day and do away with uniform.

The money they have raised will go towards education projects in Bangladesh and Brazil to help street children.

BEACONSFIELD: Pupils from Alfriston School in Penn Road have been making objects made from waste.

The activity was part of Aylesbury Development Education Centre's Agenda 21 in Special Schools.

The project is funded by the Department for International Development.

BURNHAM:Young Einstein Chris Taylor, an upper sixth form pupil at Burnham Grammar School in Hogfair Lane, Burnham, took part in the British Maths Olympiad last month.

The student who has already won a provisional place at Trinity College, Cambridge, to read mathematics was one of only 100 young people to take part in the competition run by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust.

CHALFONT ST PETER: Pupils from Robertswood Combined School in Denham Lane have raised more than £200 in association with children's TV programme Blue Peter.

The money will go towards improving mobility for elderly people by buying scooters and minibuses.

The pupils gave up part of their lunchtimes to organise two bring-and-buy sales to raise the money on January 21 and 22.

HIGH WYCOMBE A Young Enterprise Team from the Royal Grammar School, in Amersham Road, has won this year's HSBC business award.

The award is in recognition of their success in the Young Enterprise Competition in the Wycombe area.

Students set up a digital production company, called DigitALL, and for the past three months have produced digitised CVs and brochures.
