PLANS for a new sixth form building at Christ the King College have been approved this evening (Tuesday).

The building will include an ICT suite, dance/drama studio, a music room, an art room, a common room and two science labs.

A community library and internet cafe have also been approved as part of the plans.

At the same meeting, planners agreed that two temporary classrooms and a temporary sports hall could remain on the Newport site for a further three years.
