VOLUNTEERS from charities across the Isle of Wight will take part in a 'sleep out' to raise awareness of homelessness and collect vital funds.

Aspire, Hope into Action, The Bus Shelter, Two Saints, The Foyer and the Salvation Army will all take part in the event on March 2.

Isle of Wight Pride have also got involved to help raise awareness of the number of LGBT+ homeless people and will be raising funds for Micro Rainbow International.

The sleep out will be held at Appley Park in Ryde. It starts with a 6pm screening of the film A Street Cat Named Bob.
