Firefighters were called to a smoke-logged property in Brading on the Isle of Wight, this afternoon.

The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service initially sent three crews to a residential property on Morton Road, but discovered the fire was out on arrival.

The emergency services received the call at 2.35pm.

One fire crew from Shanklin remained at the scene to ventilate the property.

A woman in her 80s, who was in the property, suffered from breathing problems and an ambulance was requested by the fire service.
