HUNDREDS stepped out to conquer the Isle of Wight over the bank holiday weekend.

Around 500 people put their fitness and stamina to the test by attempting to run, jog or walk around the Island in aid of various charities including Help For Heroes, Macmillan Cancer Support and The Alzheimer’s Society on Saturday.

Starting at Northwood House, Cowes, the epic Isle of Wight Challenge, organised by international challenge event organisers Action Challenge, featured a 65-mile full coastal loop and a 'half-Island’ challenge.
