LEFT IN PAIN: Janet Norman, 53, from Joydens Wood, took her daughter to Darent Valley on June 10 after being referred by NHS Direct. She said: “My daughter has endometriosis and she was bleeding profusely when I took her to the hospital. We were told there was a seven-hour wait. After a couple of hours we left because my daughter was in pain. It was awful.”

GETTING IRATE: Susan King, of Oak Field Park Road, Wilmington, feels the hospital is badly run after her the results of her grand-daughter's X-ray on May 30 were not given to the family. She said: “There is a catalogue of problems at the hospital which start the moment you walk in the door. The administration is terrible and no wonder people get irate there.”

'DISGRACEFUL': Mark Holt, 29, of Slade Gardens, Erith, waited seven hours to see a doctor at Darent Valley after a screwdriver cut through his hand. He said: “There was only one doctor on duty when I was there on April 12. For a new hospital, it is disgraceful. And to top it all, I had to pay massive car parking fees. ”

DIRTY BOWL: Valerie Heslop, 62, of Green Hill, Gravesend, said: “The hospital has a huge number of problems. The food portions are too small and I was given a washing bowl which was dirty when I was there for two days on June 12.”

WELL TREATED: Eric Farmar, 83, Punch Croft, New Ash Green, has been a patient in Darent Valley for heart problems. He said: “I have always been well treated at the hospital. But I understand other people have had problems.”

UNFIT TO BE CHIEF: A former medical secretary from Gravesend claims she used to work with Anne-Marie Dean and claimed she was “volatile, aggressive and unfit to be chief executive”.

HOSPITAL IS WONDERFUL: Leslie Marsh, from Gravesend said: “Darent Valley is wonderful. The treatment is second to none.”
