A QUICK response greeted the publishing on this site of a picture taken by Michael and Driscoll Green yesterday (Wednesday) from Springvale, Seaview.
Within minutes of the picture appearing this morning, accompanied by an appeal for information, a number of readers had correctly identified the stricken Naval vessel HMS Endurance hitching a lift back to Portsmouth, piggy-back style, aboard the MV Target.
The ice patrol vessel, which sustained hundreds of thousands of pounds' worth of damage after suffering serious flooding, will now be repaired after her month-long journey home.
