A YACHT has been towed to safety by Cowes RNLI off the Isle of Wight.
The 38ft yacht Silver Tide, with three experienced sailors on board, began drifting after its jib sheet became caught in the propellor at around 11:30am.
Cowes RNLI came to the aid of the boat, which was near Gurnard Ledge, towing it back to Cowes, according to a spokesman.
It had been travelling from Yarmouth to Beaulieu.
