detectives are continuing their hunt for the savage brute who bit off parts of a man's ears.

The officers are appealing for more witnesses to the incident near the Jean Harlow pub on October 9. And they are urging anyone who knows the attacker, who they believe lives in Harlow, to contact them.

DC Mike Smith, from Harlow police, said: "He is a dangerous man and we want him off the streets."

He believes the biter knew his victim and thinks the attack was launched because of an "old grievance."

The 25-year-old victim from Harlow, who suffered irreparable ear damage and a fractured skull, has now regained consciousness but is not well enough to be questioned.

The attacker is described as 31, 6ft tall, stocky, and muscular. Anyone with information should contact DC Smith on 641212.
