A TEENAGE musician has released a song in aid of Sophie Rolf, the five-year-old Isle of Wight girl who has an inoperable brain tumour.

Angel (Sophie's Song) was written for Totland Bay youngster Sophie by 17-year-old Isle of Wight musician Sam Sheasby from Fishbourne, after he was touched by her story.

After playing the song for Sophie's parents Aaron and Gemma, Sam recorded the song at Skinny Mammoth Studios in Newport with two members of Island band Lucid, Ollie Ducie and Blue Brown.

The song is out now on iTunes, and is expected to be released on CD this week. Some of the money raised will also go to the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
