Gareth Icke will headline this year's V-Dub festival.
SINGER-SONGWRITER Gareth Icke will headline the V-Dub Island festival, organisers announced today (Friday).
Island boy Gareth will top the bill of the Volkswagen-themed festival on Thursday night, joining previously announced headliners Neville Staple, formerly of ska legends The Specials, and Bestival regulars The Cuban Brothers.
After launching his career with rock band Kody, Gareth reinvented himself as a soulful solo artist and has since played the Isle of Wight Festival, Bestival, Secret Garden Party and Wembley Arena. Now in its third year, V-Dub Island has established itself as a fun, family-friendly event to celebrate everything Volkswagen, with music, entertainment and VW-related activities — including the traditional driveout and a Show and Shine competition — for all ages.
The festival will be held at The County Showground, Northwood, from August 15 to 19.
