Special day promotes dignity

By Emily Pearce

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

EVENTS will be held at care homes across the Isle of Wight on February 1 to celebrate Dignity Action Day.

A variety of health and social care organisations will be involved in the event, to promote dignity in care, and will be available to speak to aboard the Daisy Bus, which will be parked in St Thomas's Square, Newport, throughout the day.

Isle of Wight dignity champion Peter Garlick said: "This is a chance for Islanders to learn more about upholding people's rights to dignity. We can all make a difference."
