Square to Square riders reach halfway point

Isle of Wight Square to Square rider David Btler Trump.

A TEAM of Isle of Wight cyclists raising money for charity has reached the halfway point of an epic 1,400km ride.

The cyclists were due to arrive in Coulon, France last night (Friday), after seven days of cycling.
They are on track to reach their destination of Santander next week.

After lots of rain, team member David Butler-Trump said they had enjoyed some drier conditions in recent days.

Speaking to the Isle of Wight County Press, just outside of Niort, he said: "Everyone is doing ok, just a few aches and pains, but we are all in good spirits."

He added: "We have been getting some great support from back on the Island."

£ Find out how to donate. Money goes to Help for Heroes and the Isle of Wight Branch of Motor Neurone Disease.
