STARS were on the hunt for Isle of Wight antiques yesterday as they filmed an episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
Isle of Arts star Sandi Toksvig and Isle of Wight born actress Sheila Hancock teamed up with experts David Barby and Philip Serrell for the show.
They were searching for antiques to buy and then sell at auction in aid of Children in Need.
Among the dealers to receive a visit from the teams was Andrew Jackson, of OldeWorlde Antiques, High Street, Sandown.
"I had a call to say that I might get a visit.
"I had all four of them in the shop at the same time so everything was a bit flustered. I was trying to have four conversations at the same time, while they all looked at different things, but it was great.
"It was all in aid of charity so I gave them some good deals, I hope they’ll make some money when they get to auction," said Andrew, who has been an antiques dealer for 15 years and opened the shop three years ago.
After their shopping trip the teams popped in to the newly opened Rapanui shop, next door, for a cup of tea and some locally produced food.
The eco-clothing company opened the doors of the shop just two weeks ago, stocking its own fashion label and other ecologically sound products.
