A CHARITY director who is on a fundraising walk to every Premiership League football club in the country made it to Watford last week.

Mr David Bennett, 56, director of Workable a charity that promotes employment opportunities for disabled people, arrived at Vicarage Road on Thursday, April 20.

He is attempting to visit every Premier League ground in a 650 mile, 35 day walk that started in Southhampton on Monday, April 10 and is due to finish in Newcastle on Saturday, May 13.

The aim of the walk is to raise awareness of and cash for Workable.

The charity was set up ten years ago to challenge preconceptions about disabled people and to help disabled people find work experience, training and employment.

Mr Bennett said: 'The premiership walk is a great opportunity to raise funding and generate awareness of the work of Workable.

Funding we receive from organisations, such as the Lloyds TSB Foundation, goes along way towards enabling us to provide the time and resources needed to find the right kind of work experience for our clients.'
