Students dress to impress

DAZZLING costumes and an interesting array of transport made the first ever Christ the King College Year 11 prom one to remember.

Held at Cowes Yacht Haven on Friday, around 140 students and more than 20 staff enjoyed 'mocktails’ followed by a three course meal which included over 300 cupcakes handmade by Yummy Mummy Cupcakes.

Dress to Impress was the theme and young people arrived in everything from camper vans, sports cars, limousines and even an ice cream van.

Principal, Pat Goodhead, said: "It was an absolutely wonderful evening and our first Year 11 truly impressed us in every possible way — as they have done all year."

After an awards ceremony, the students partied the night away until midnight.
