Take part in our first fundraiser

POLISH your prized ball and perfect your spin, it’s time to let the challenge begin.

The County Press and Isle of Wight Radio will kickstart their year of Charity Challenge fundraising with a Bowlathon on February 10.

Sponsored by Ryde Superbowl, Island businesses and organisations are invited to enter teams of six to compete.

This will be the first of many fundraising challenges held in aid of Carisbrooke Priory, which supports people with mental health illnesses, and Young Carers, which supports youngsters who care for their ill or disabled relatives.

Up to 22 teams will go head to head in two games of glow-bowling in a bid to win a hamper prize donated by Ryde Superbowl.

Among the teams will be employees from Isle of Wight Radio and the County Press.

If you think you’re up to the challenge, simply send us an e-mail at charity@iwcp.co.uk, post on our Facebook wall, www.facebook.com/iwcharitychallenge or fill out the entry form on page 52 of the Friday, January 20, County Press newspaper.

Entries will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

If your entry is successful, we will contact you to confirm and a £60 fee for each team will be required in advance of the event. Bring along your friends and family for an evening of fun. The action begins at 8pm.

Other fundraisers during the year will include an on-air auction, big quiz and glitzy ball.

Sign up to our Charity Challenge Facebook page, tune in to Isle of Wight Radio and pick up the County Press to get the latest updates on what’s happening when and how you can get involved.
