RESCUERS went to the aid of a 32ft yacht which ran aground in gusting northerly winds on Friday afternoon.
Ryde Inshore Rescue received an urgent call from the skipper, who said the yacht's anchor was unreliable and the vessel was being blown back onto the sandbank.
Ryde Rescue 1, helmed by Nic White, towed the yacht and four-man crew into deep water so it could make its way back to Portsmouth Harbour.
