An historic moment in Ealing's political evolution went largely unnoticed on Tuesday.
Even members of the borough's first ever Cabinet admitted that little was really going to change.
Decision making has never been enacted in front of members of the public, according to Leader of the Council, Councillor John Cudmore, but has happened for years in secret meetings before committees sit.
'An open cabinet meeting could be the charade,' he said. 'And the real decisions made elsewhere. I have always been up front about the fact that it wasn't quite right before.'
Minutes from the meetings will be released at the Town Hall and on the council web site five days after each meeting.
So look out for them on Monday, and then five days after the next two scheduled meetings on June 6 and 27.
