A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a collision in Sandown on Tuesday night.
A red Skoda Fabia, driven by a 17-year-old male, collided with a blue Renault Clio and a garden wall in the Fitzroy Street area, at around 9.50pm.
A 17 year old male, who was driving the Skoda, carrying four other teenagers, was questioned at Newport Police Station and bailed until April 2, pending further enquiries.
A 40-year-old woman, who was driving the Renault Clio, plus two teenagers in the Skoda, received minor injuries.
The Isle of Wight Roads Policing Unit is investigating reports the Skoda was in convey with a black Citroen Saxo and a black Mitsubishi in Ryde town centre and Esplanade before the collision.
Officers are appealing for any sightings of the three cars on the main road through Brading into Sandown, particularly on Sandown High Street after 9.30pm on Tuesday night.
Witnesses or anyone with information can contact the Isle of Wight Roads Policing Unit by calling Shanklin Police Station on 101, quoting Operation Faraday.
