A TEENAGE pedestrian was seriously injured in an accident involving an elderly driver on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old boy from the Ventnor area was in collision with a Honda Accord, driven by a 73-year-old woman from Godshill, along Whitwell Road, shortly after 5.30pm.
The teenager, who is in St Mary’s Hospital, was described as comfortable. Police are investigating the collision.
The road was closed for an hour in both directions.
