VOLKSWAGENS from across the country flocked to the Isle of Wight at the weekend for the V-Dub Island festival.

The festival featured headline music acts including Bestival curator Rob da Bank and the Dub Pistols, who topped a bill packed with Isle of Wight talent such as Goodbye Stereo, Born ina Barn, EnglanE, Headfunk, Southern Big Man and The Vecks.

The family-friendly event also featured pirate displays and even an Isle of Wight-shaped beach for youngsters to enjoy, as well as a drive out to Compton.

Following the success of this year’s event, dates for next year’s event have already been announced — August 15 to 19.

We had a brilliant time, lets hope it doesn't get too commercial like the other festivals. Have to say that the standard of the Island bands was very high whatever the type of music you like.
