THE Pointer Inn has been named one of Britain's best pubs for Sunday lunch by a national newspaper.
The Newchurch pub featured on The Telegraph's list of hotspots and was a hit with the paper's food editor, Amy Bryant.
Portion sizes and the 'stonking' shortcrust-pastry lamb pie were praised, along with the cosy interior.
The Sunday roast trio of meat, along with 'giant' Yorkshire puddings and vegetables, was said to be great value at £10.
