The Pointer Inn named one of Britain's best pubs for Sunday lunch

The Pointer Inn, in Newchurch, has been named one of Britain's best pubs for Sunday lunch by The Telegraph.

THE Pointer Inn has been named one of Britain's best pubs for Sunday lunch by a national newspaper.

The Newchurch pub featured on The Telegraph's list of hotspots and was a hit with the paper's food editor, Amy Bryant.

Portion sizes and the 'stonking' shortcrust-pastry lamb pie were praised, along with the cosy interior.

The Sunday roast trio of meat, along with 'giant' Yorkshire puddings and vegetables, was said to be great value at £10.
