POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a boat trailer belonging to the Kite Surf School, in Ryde, was damaged.

The trailer was parked in an Isle of Wight car park on Appley Lane, opposite Ryde Inshore Lifeboat Station, when the landing skid was removed.

The incident occurred between 10.20am and 12.55pm yesterday (Sunday).

PC Richard Hindle said: "The bolts holding the landing skid to the rest of the trailer were rusted and would have required tools or considerable force to remove."

Anyone with information can contact PC Hindle at Ryde Police Station on 101or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
