Boreham Wood take a trip south of the river on Saturday when they venture to Bromley for a Ryman Premier League fixture, kick-off 3pm.

Bromley had a tremendous start to the season, winning four and drawing one of their opening five matches -- and topped the table in early September.

And Wood were among the victims of the Lilywhites' run, crashing to a 0-3 defeat at Meadow Park.

However Bromley could not maintain this initial momentum and gradually slid down the table, notching just three wins in their last 18 league games.

Now the Lilywhites are currently in 16th place, just five points clear of the relegation zone.

And the past week has seen changes both on and off the pitch for Bromley. Long serving manager George Wakeling has resigned after almost nine years in charge, moving to Ashford Town.

Wakeling's departure from Hayes Lane was followed by star striker Landry Zahana-Oni. Now the French player has joined Luton Town in a deal that could be worth up to £35,000.

Last season when Wood took on Bromley, in the corresponding fixture, the Kentish air inspired a 2-1 win, and a 2-0 triumph on the way to lifting the London Challenge Cup.

Now Wood will be looking to complete the hat-trick on Saturday as they attempt to break into the top six of the league.

Boreham Wood continue in their bid to reach a third successive Herts Senior Cup Final when they entertain Hoddesdon Town, from the Minerva Spartan South Midlands League, on Tuesday January 26.

Kick-off is at 7.30pm for this third round clash.
