TIME is running out for organisations to apply for the latest funding from Hampshire and Isle of Wight police and crime commissioner Simon Hayes.

Mr Hayes’ Protecting People and Places Fund provides cash for crime reduction projects.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects that meet criteria outlined by Mr Hayes in his police and crime plan:

• Improving frontline policing to deter criminals and keep communities safe

• Placing victims and witnesses at the heart of policing and the wider criminal justice system

• Working together to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in communities

• To reduce re-offending

The closing date for applications is midday on Monday, January 13, 2014.

Full details on how to apply are available on the commissioner’s website.
