CHAINSAWS, a generator and other tools have been stolen from an Isle of Wight woodyard.
The theft took place at the Woodyard, Middle Road, Chessell, between Tuesday, February 14, and Thursday, March 16, according to Isle of Wight police.
The items, which included four Stihl chainsaws, a small petrol generator and a toolbox filled with large spanners, were discovered missing when the owner returned from holiday.
He found the padlock to the outbuilding was missing.
PC Tim Campany said they believed a vehicle may have been used during the break-in and urged witnesses who noticed anything suspicious to get in touch.
