After a jury delivered an open verdict into the death of the 21-year-old student last November his family and their supporters vowed to continue their fight for justice.
Ricky went missing during a night out with friends during which they were involved in a brief fight with two white youths during which racist comments were made.
At the picket at the weekend the campaigners made three demands:
o a fresh investigation is launched into Ricky's death;
o a confidential and critical Police Complaints Authority report into the death be released to the family, and;
o a full public inquiry into the case. Despite the case being re-investigated by the Metropolitan Police's Racial and Violent Crimes Task Force and appeals on national television it still has not been proved whether Ricky was either killed or accidentally fell in to the river.
