A CHARITY single has been recorded by Island band Cornerstone to raise money for the Isle of Wight's only official toy appeal.

Dave Priddle, radio presenter and co-managing director of Cornerstone Party Entertainments, was asked by Isle of Wight Radio's Paul Topping to create a Christmas song and came up with 'Share a Little Love.’

He said: "We decided to gift the song to the Toy Appeal to see if it could raise more money and more awareness."

Dave wrote the song with his wife and fellow managing director Sarah.

He said: "I was inspired by my wife and children. We sat down around the piano one evening instead of watching television and she told me silly things the children had done."

Dave added: "The song costs £1 to download and the Bandcamp site gives you the option of donating more if you wish. The money goes straight to the Isle of Wight Official Toy Appeal."
