MOTORISTS headed to the dual carriageway from Fairlee Road were being diverted around Coppins Bridge this afternoon.
The diversion was put in place after the traffic lights for the slip road to the dual carriageway from Fairlee Road were switched off by engineers working in the area.
*An Isle of Wight Council spokeman said the road re-opened by around 4.15pm.
The 307 school bus service was delayed by 20 minutes due to heavy traffic, according to the Isle of Wight Council at 3.26pm.
