A FOAL has been freed by firefighters after it was trapped in Ventnor this morning (Wednesday).
Firefighters were called by the foal's owner after it became stuck between a fence and a hedge at Newport Road, between Wroxall and Upper Ventnor, at around 9.45am.
They used animal rescue equipment to pull the foal free before it was treated by a vet.
Watch manager Bev Whorwood told the County Press the foal was eating and drinking when the crew left.
