WROXALL Pre School pupils pedalled for pounds during a sponsored cycle for charity.

It was the ninth year Pedal Push had taken place at the pre-school, organised to raise funds for new school equipment and for the national charity Childline.

The pupils, aged between two and four, were cheered on by their parents as they negotiated a track on the playground, which included a bicycle repair garage and pitt stop lane.

The final total raised from the event is not yet known as money is still being collected, although it looked like being more than in previous years.

"Normally we raise around £250 but one parent has already told me she has raised £180, so hopefully we’ll exceed our usual target," said Carol Vincent, manager at Wroxall Pre-school.
